Aseel and Alaa Farraj started their business, Balagan VIntage with the hope to change the stigma around wearing secondhand clothing focusing on vintage fashion as their focus. They started off with 60JDs and managed to grow an idea into a successful online ecommerce business that offers recycled and upcycled vintage pieces. The sisters believe that everyone has to contribute to combating environmental pollution and they chose fashion as their medium to make a better environmental change. What is your proudest accomplishment?
We believe that our biggest accomplishment so far has been managing to change how people perceive secondhand items in Jordan.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Anywhere in Spain! The food, the culture, the architecture, the sea AND the ocean, and RyanAir to take us anywhere else 🤷🏼♀️
What would you do if you won the lottery?
INVEST! And then travel the world with what we make 😝
What are your hobbies or what do you do for fun?
We love taking our dog out on long walks and hikes, read and binge watch on Netflix.
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
We would definitely go back to the 70s!
